The climbing rose “Parade” is known for its beautiful, vibrant deep pink blooms and exceptional disease resistance. Like all climbing roses, it has long canes that can be trained to grow on vertical structures, such as walls, fences, or trellises.
This climbing rose variety is a repeat bloomer, producing multiple flushes of blooms throughout the growing season. The flowers are large, fully double, and have a classic cupped old-fashioned rose shape. The foliage is glossy and dark green, and the plant shows very good resistance to common rose diseases such as blackspot and mildew.
The climbing rose Parade is a very vigorous grower and can reach a height and width of 15-20 ft and 6-8 ft, respectively. It can be grown in both full sun and partial shade. It’s suitable for growing in a wide range of climates and soil types.
It demonstrates very good winter hardiness. In my climate, I grow it horizontally to be able to fit it easily under protective winter cover.
Fully hardy only to zone 6 without protection.
